GAMC offers diabetes education
classes, which include one individual
session with a nurse practitioner and
certified diabetes educator, and four
classes covering:

How to develop and maintain a
healthy and quality lifestyle.
Support persons are welcome to
attend. The Diabetes Self-Management
Education (DSME) program at GAMC
requires a physician referral and is cov-
ered by Medicare and most insurance
plans. Classes are held on four con-
secutive Tuesdays from 4:30 to 7 PM.
